Christmas Fun

My 1st Christmas went very well. I spent alot of time with family, I was only interested in eating the wrapping paper, and I got alot of new goodies.

This year was easy cause mommy could get me a bunch of necessities. I got new bottles, binkies, my favorite spoons, a neat sipie cup(for later), socks, and a really soft new blankie. But I got toys too!!!! I got my 1st teddy bear, mommy and I made him at Build-a-Bear and we named him Peanut Butter. I got a neat music and shape ball, and my first Tonka truck. It is a really soft plastic so as soon as I stop scooting around and get to really crawling I'll have something to push around. And my Grammy got me a rocking horse that sings, they help me rock for now, but before too long I'll be doing it on my own. My Nana and PawPaw got me this really great sport activity center. I'm learning how to shoot hoops already!!!! And my MeeMaw and PawPaw in Texas sent me some really cute PJ's, I love the lil cowby ones, and MeeMaw made me the most adorable blanket. Aunt Krista got me some really cute jeans and the cutest sleeper, it is knit with light and dark blue strips, and has the sweetest little hoodie.

All in all it was a great first Christmas. Mommy and I spent last Saturday night with Uncle Jack and Aunt Mel. Mommy says I have to get used to being other places. Bubba and I had fun playing together. But he likes to take my binky and make me cry. He doesn't mean to though. And he is a very vocal little boy. Every time he would yell, I would cry. Mommy found it very funny. But wait til I start crawling, maybe then I'll have more fun with Bubba. And Bubba is cruzing around everywhere, and his daddy has even seen him take is 1st steps at only 8 1/2 months!!!!

Here We Are!!!

Sorry it has been so long guys. We have been a pretty busy bunch here. With Santa coming soon, and Thanksgiving out of the way. It just all came so fast.

Thanksgiving went well, but I got pretty upset that I couln't have any of that good, good food. But I have expanded my palet to include veggies. I love sweet potatoes and carrots, I didn't like peas too much, and I tried green beans today, I like them. Bananas are still my favorite fruit though.

I mastered my rolling over skills and now I'm working on crawling. I get up on all fours, but I go backwards. I haven't quite fiqured it all out yet, but momma gives me two more weeks and I'll probally have this crawling thing down. I also like to push my little butt up in the air and stand on my tipie toes. I think this move helps me move forward, but it rarely does. It is so funny to see me do it though.

I learned Thursday that if I put my arms out and look at you very endearinly, I'll get picked up. You can say, "Want to come see me" and I'll through my arms out. I turned 5 months on Monday, Momma says I'm growing up way too fast. And I am. I'm learning so much so quickly. But I'm loving it!!!! and so is mommy and Grammy.

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving. Uncle Jack and cousin Bubba are in some, and so is my Aunt Cree. The family really enjoyed seeing me. And they really loved comparing Bubba and me. He is 8 months now and I am bigger than he is, I'll be handing my clothes down to him instead.

We love you all and we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

My First Trip To The Mall

Saturday I took my first trip to the mall. Nana, Destiny, Mommy, and I made a special trip to meet Santa Clause! I liked him, but I wouldn't smile for my pictures for anything. I loved being there though, there was so much wonderful stuff to look at. I wouldn't even let mommy eat her lunch without me right in her lap. I wanted to eat too, but I had to amuse myself by playing with the table. I also got to ride the carasoul for the first time. It is cousin Destiny's favorite thing to do at the mall. It was ok, I didn't laugh or anything, but I enjoyed it. Mommy forgot how dizy it makes you feel to go around and around while standing up. All in all it was a good day.

After the mall we stopped by mommy work so everyone could see me. Everyone says I'm looking more and more like my mommy everyday.

4 Months and Counting

I'm 4 months old!!!!
I had my well baby check-up and my 4 month shots today. I didn't cry nearly as long this time as I did for my 1st set of shots.
And the weigh in is:
17 lbs 10 oz and 26 in long
Dr. Algea said I'm in the 90th percentile in weight and length

She also gave me the OK to start trying some new foods. I love my cereal, but I'm ready for more. Next week momma's going to start me with a veggie. I really enjoy eating from my spoon, and I'm pretty good at it too!

I Can Rollie-Ollie-Over

I did it!!!!!! Yesterday I successfully rolled over from my back to my stomach; and I continued to do it all evening, and this morning too. Nana and PawPaw, and Uncle Nate where here to witness it. But, I'm afraid it is all going to snowball from here. Next thing mommy knows I'll be crawling.

I will be 4 months old on Saturday. I'm getting to be a big boy very fast. I love to pull my binky out of my mouth, look at it closely, examine it, flip it around, flip it back, and then stick it back in my mouth. I reach for and hold my toys, then put them straight in my mouth (which is of course where they go).

I have started eating some rice cereal, I eat it once a day in the evening around 5pm. I am spoon feeding really well, and eating real food excites me so much. I laugh and giggle. I like to reach for mommy's hands as she is holding the spoon and I direct the spoon right to my mouth. And when I'm not in the mood for cereal I let mommy know. I also learned I can blow air out of mouth with the onset of eating with a spoon. I like to blow a little cereal back at mommy. She doesn't think it's too funny, but she laughs any way. Nana and Grammy want to give me more interesting foods, but mommy won't let them, she says not yet, cereal first. Mommy decided to start with the cereal because I would sit there watching her eat and starring and talking, saying hey momma where's mine.

So all in all I am starting to grow up way to fast for mommy. She even got a little teary eyed last night when I rolled over because she knows it's just a hop, skip, and jump away from my first birthday to my first day of school to my first day of college. I think she knows just how quickly it is going to go, and how much she cherishes all the little things I am doing now. Like last night when Grammy got home. I must have had ants in my pants cause I just stood in Grammy's lap laughing up a storm for at least 15 minutes.

The Past Week of My Life

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. It has been a busy, not so busy week.

Well two Saturdays ago I realized that if I pull in my fat little legs and rock a little I ran roll to one side. I spent about an hour playing with my puppy dog trying my hardest to roll completely over. I would get almost there, and then my darn shoulder gets in my way. I got very upset that I couldn't get it. But I have rolled over from my stomach to my back. Mommy thought I would surely have it down by the end of last week, but not yet. Nana thinks I just need a little push in the right direction.

Well, this Saturday was a big day for me. Nana, Destiny, Aunt Krista, Brianna, Mommy and I went to the movies. I went to my first movie!!!! We saw Madagascar 2 Escape to Africa. I really enjoyed it, and didn't cry not once. I didn't sleep the entire time though. When the previews started and the sound started I jumped a little, but I found it evey entertaining. That big screen really caught my attention. Mommy was so proud of me. I was a little upset though because I couldn't have any popcorn, and gosh it smelt so good! All in all I really enjoyed being out and seeing the world. I love doing that these days.

That night mommy and I stayed the night with Aunt Krista, Uncle John, and Brianna. It was my first sleep over too! Saturday was just full of firsts for me. And Sunday morning Aunt Krista babysat me while mommy went to work. Aunt Krista really enjoyed it, she had been patiently waiting for the day she could have me without my mommy around. And mommy was so proud of me for being such a good boy for my Aunt Krista and Uncle John.

Well, that pretty much covers it. And of course I'm growing like a weed. My gums have been hurting me a little and mommy found me this really great viberating teether at Wal-Mart. It is in the shape of a strawberry, it was either that or grapes. It is my new favorite thing to put in my mouth, besides my fists that is.

My 1st Halloween

I was a skeleton for my 1st Halloween. It was a pretty uneventful day. I was in the Halloween spirit all day with my onesies and my pumpkin bib in tow. We didn't have alot of Trick or Treaters though. But my Aunt Krista, Uncle John, and cousin Brianna came by and visited for the evening.
Momma got upset cause she couldn't find me any big boy jeans at Wal-Mart, but Aunt Krista saved the day and got me some really handsome black jeans, I look just so adorable in them. Though momma's just not to sure how long my fat belly can fit into the waistband, the length is perfect though. And they are 3 to 6 months. I just have quite a belly on me, as you can see by my bath time photo.
Next year will be so much more fun though. I will be walking by then and momma plans on taking me to the Haunted Corn Maze. She thinks I will get a kick out of exploring the world around me.
Well, we hope everyone else had as good of a Halloween as we did.

What a Weekend

It is almost Halloween! I'm going to be a skeleton, and I've been wearing my Baby's 1st Halloween onesie for the past 2 weeks. Mommy thought about taking me out this weekend, either to Zoo Boo or to the Haunted Corn Maze, but during the day of course; but we ultimately decided to wait for next year to have a big outing. Uncle Nathan and Destiny went to the corn maze and had alot of fun Saturday afternoon. They made it out pretty quickly, luckily Destiny had her 'know it all' daddy to lead her. Momma decided she did't want to get lost in a maze with me just yet, but she promises next year we will go.

My Uncle Jack and Aunt Melissa babysat for me on Sunday while mommy worked. I got to spend quality time with my Uncles and my cousin Bubba. It is crazy, but momma thinks I am bigger than Bubba, even though he has 3 months on me. I'm just a big boy I guess. And I'm looking more and more like my mommy everyday.

A Cold and Rainy Thursday

Such a cold and rainy Thursday. I tried to let mommy sleep late, but I changed my mind. We had some play time and I decided it was now time for a nap. Mommy has to work tonight, so it's a Grammy Day!!!! I'm wearing my Grammy's favorite shirt, "Grandma Says I Can". Which of course she always does. I love my Grammy days.

Baby's 1st Halloween
Mommy loves this picture of me. I'm in my Baby's 1st Halloween onesie and my new big boy blue jeans. She thinks I look so handsome, but what she loves most is my wide little shoulders. She thinks I have my chest bowed out like, 'What'!

Gimmie That Binky!
Bubba found it amusing that my binky was on a string, and it certianly didn't stop him from trying to get it from me. He practically took my clothes off with it!

I Want that Parrot!!!

Bubba and Me
This is my cousin Jonathan, his daddy likes to call him Bubba. Bubba is 3 months older than me, and he gets around like its nothin'. (I'm still learning. I like to sit and pull myself up the most though, I'm not to interested in rolling over yet.) But by Christmas, Bubba and I will be a handfull together. And oh how the family is going to enjoy it.
